Jack Nugent was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Mr. Nugent received his Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science from Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. After college, Mr. Nugent attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, Mr. Nugent was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court and Mock Trial teams. For the Mock Trial team, Mr. Nugent traveled and competed at three national invite tournaments. Mr. Nugent received the Lex Award in Torts for the highest grade in his first-year torts class, was a tutor for Torts classes, and also received the highest grade in his Trial Advocacy class. Mr. Nugent was also the Community Outreach Director for the Student Bar Association.
Prior to joining the Bergquist Law Firm, Mr. Nugent gained valuable legal experience working at two prominent Houston personal injury law firms as a law clerk and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Frances H. Stacy of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.
Mr. Nugent is based in our Houston office.
